Bike Safety Days at Local Grade Schools
The Cyclist is a proud sponsor of Bike Safety Days at local grade schools in our community. Check out some of the photos of our past events we've hosted with the help of the Newport Police Department.
We partnered with the Newport Police Department to help kids at the Newport Mesa Elementary School.
We perform safety checks for the students's bikes (and scooters) as part of the event because we want the kids to have safe bikes with pumped up tires, and lubed chains.
We set up courses for the kids to practice their bike handling skills and gain confidence on two wheels.
Students stop for a quick photo with our great Police Department volunteers.
Students also met some of our staff and received tips on how to take care of their bikes.
Lots of students and lots of bikes! Everyone had a great time and learned a lot about bike safety.
We had parents come out and join their kids during the rodeo!
Students and parents gathering around and watching our mechanics make their bikes safe to ride!
Our technicians ready to work on some bikes!
Police officers showing students how to safely ride their bikes.
Our technicians hard at work to have the kids out riding!
