1st Colony Bike-A-Thon

Anaheim High, in conjunction with TheCyclist.com, hosted the 1st Colony Bike-A-Thon to benefit campus clubs and athletic programs.

Non-bikers are also welcome. In fact, those without wheels may borrow a bicycle if they’re one of the first 100 registered riders. Also, free helmets from the Anaheim Police and Fire departments will be provided to the first 100 cyclists.

Another event perk: free bike tune-ups provided by TheCyclist.com technicians.

Registration, which begins at 8 a.m. at the AHS track, is free for those who bring a minimum of $50 in pledges; $25 for non-sponsored adult riders and $10 for under age 18.

From 9 to 11 a.m., riders will cruise a route that will include the historic Anaheim High campus and Colony District. K-6 students will ride around the high school track.

Following the Bike-A-Thon, a free taco lunch will be provided to riders (number required). Others may purchase food and drinks for a nominal fee.

Following the Bike-A-Thon, a Resource Fair will be held in the campus central quad until 1 p.m. Along with booths providing information about various community services, there will be music and other entertainment.

Pre-registration: Download the registration form at www.anaheimcolonists.com or anaheimhighschool.org and mail to AHS, 811 W. Lincoln, Anaheim, CA 92805. Atten: Colony Bike-A-Thon.
